WhereAndNow.com's series on quick-fixes kicks off with a spa visit with a difference. Venturing down Rose Street in the west end you'll find a natty little lunch time treatment locale with a difference. If you aren't keen on your regular visit to the dentist, then look away now. However if you are a fan of anything that cuts the mustard health-wise, then this is probably for you.
The chaps over at Smilepod have put together a menu of quick fixes that result in dental hygiene to the nth degree. In a never-ending quest for perfection I ventured out down to Smilepod ready to be blasted and prodded. The things I do for this job.
My dental nurse had a blindingly whiter than white smile. Always a good show when claiming to be a pro at all things dentistry. Don’t fear. There was no scraping or drilling – a simple 45 minute routine of gargling, sandblasting with bicarb and some immensely fresh polish later and some intense smiling awaits you. But only if you’ve got the facial muscles available after 45 minutes of saying ‘arrr.’
The High Gloss Diamond Polish at £85 gives an intense stain removal using a high-power air polishing jet, followed by a high-gloss polish with a diamond polishing paste. Next up, I’m booking in again – and this time I’m going all the way. For £295 the Zoom 2 Power Whitening gives you an A List grin in 90 minutes.
Top Tip: Eat lunch before you go. It’s an absolute travesty to have shiny gnashers and then ruin them with a prêt special.
